Doctor's negligence in Hospital San Antonio del Lago de Chapala

 

I would like to brief you on the poor health state of my mother & the mental stress we went through, due to a doctor's negligence in Hospital San Antonio del Lago de Chapala

.
The first time, My mother had been through the replacement of a mitral valve in the year: 2019 and was successfully discharged from the hospital. As per the doctor's suggestion, we kept visiting the hospital for regular check-ups. Furthermore, she took PT-INR tests on regular basis. We called on the hospital number and informed the PT-INR report and as per the I.N.R. ratio, the on-duty doctor suggested us the mg dosage of medicine: ACITROM.

We were unsatisfied with the doctor's response, due to their negligence my mother had been facing severe health issue and almost had an alarming health condition. Please see below the summary -

 




1.     On 11th April 2020, the doctor found the ACITROM dosage, which was suggested by another doctor wasn't correct as per the I.N.R ratio. This means the on-duty doctor at Hospital San Antonio del Lago de Chapala, suggested us the wrong dosage. Due to the doctor providing us with the wrong information, blood thickness increased and lead to blockage in the mitral valve.

2.     We are still looking at what happened with the health conditions due to the doctor’s prescribed medicines, which resulted in the improvement downgrading to zero.

 

The healthcare staff at Hospital San Antonio del Lago de Chapala is not ready to take the responsibility of this damage. They are just interested in sending us heavy bills. I urge people from Chapala to avoid visiting Hospital San Antonio del Lago de Chapala for emergency health issues

DO NOT RECOMMEND - San Antonia Hospital

  I went to Hospital San Antonio in 2 weeks ago for a minor stomach infection. Horrible place. The staff were using their cell phones without gloves and then touching the needles used to draw blood for lab exams. Very disturbing practices here. We were told by phone it would be like 3 to 4 hundred dollars, The cost ended up over $3,500 USD for a stomach infection. They ordered a tons of useless tests and made me wait in the ER for 8 hours...a simple dose of Cipro is all I needed . They made me get a CT Scan!!! For what? All I needed was some Cipro. Read the reviews on Google, this place is a scam.  Not recommended. Then when I asked them to explain the bill to me and why it was so high for useless tests they brought out some young doctor to take the heat. Scams in Lake Chapala Healthcare

  A California woman visiting Mexico had to have two emergency heart surgeries. Now Hospital San Antonio headed by Sr. Calderon won’t release her until she pays a $40,000 bill. U.S. officials have warned travelers about hospital scams in Mexico.   A representative of the patient reached out to  Hospital San Antonio in Lake Chapala  and no  one at the hospital spoke enough English to answer any questions. The patient was visiting friends in Ajijic when she began having trouble breathing. When she collapsed and lost consciousness on Monday Dec 31  she was transported to  Hospital San Antonio in Lake Chapala The patient  was treated for an arterial blockage  in her heart but not before the family was forced by the hospital to pay $25,000 upfront.
