DO NOT RECOMMEND - San Antonia Hospital
I went to Hospital San Antonio in 2 weeks ago for a minor stomach infection. Horrible place. The staff were using their cell phones without gloves and then touching the needles used to draw blood for lab exams. Very disturbing practices here. We were told by phone it would be like 3 to 4 hundred dollars, The cost ended up over $3,500 USD for a stomach infection. They ordered a tons of useless tests and made me wait in the ER for 8 hours...a simple dose of Cipro is all I needed . They made me get a CT Scan!!! For what? All I needed was some Cipro. Read the reviews on Google, this place is a scam. Not recommended. Then when I asked them to explain the bill to me and why it was so high for useless tests they brought out some young doctor to take the heat. They actually threatened to call the Chapala Police if I did not quite down. Are they that desperate? They got me in a vulnerable situation and tried to take advantage of me as female gringo.
